This website is dedicated to the memory of my dear cousin Philip Goddard (Ref. 1R5) who, over many many years, gave me his undying support and encouragement to complete this major undertaking. At the time of his sudden death on 1st January 2005 he was putting together the final touches to a more in depth study of the life of Captain Clive Franklyn Collett (1887-1917) the WW1 Fighter Pilot, whose New Zealand descendents are detailed in Part Six of this website.
