 was made on 28th December 1784

In the name of God Amen, I Henry Collett of Bourton-on-the-Water in the County of Gloucester, Yeoman, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following

 

 

That is to say, I give to the minister that shall preach my funeral sermon the sum of One Pound One Shilling

 

 

I give to Mr John Collett of Maugersbury and Sarah Fox the wife of Mr Samuel Fox of Bourton-on-the-Water the sum of Five Pounds each, to be paid within six months of my decease

 

 

And all the rest and residual of my personal estate, goods and all other effects subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses I give and bequeath unto Mr John Collett senior of Upper Slaughter and his sister Mrs Ann Beale, the wife of Mr James Beale of Bourton-on-the-Water to be equally between them share and share alike

 

 

And I do make and appoint the said John Collett and Ann Beale executors and executrix of this my last Will and Testament

 

 

In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this Twenty-Eighth Day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Four
